Diablos vs T-Bones

Jazzy and the Sonic Dog

We all hopped in the car and drove over the mountain to catch our first El Paso Diablo game of the season this past Saturday.  The Diablos are being managed this season by long time veteran Jorge Alvarez and are looking to make a playoff run in the American Association.  The kids love going to the games because they get a chance to meet new friends and get autographs from the players, the mascot, and the occasional 6 foot hot dog that is walking around the park.

The Diablos lost to the Kansas City T-Bones that night but we left the park with another great experience.  If you want a fun family outing that won't cost you a ton of money, head out to catch the Diablos in action this season.

The following is a list of just some of the cool things you will find at the ballpark:

1. Friendly El Paso fans.  We like to sit in the family section and we always find ourselves surrounded by great fans.  The police officers that patrol the park make sure that no alcohol is consumed in the family section.

2. Good ticket deals and promotions.  The Diablos do a good job of having tons of promotions and ticket give-aways through out the year that make going to the ballpark relatively inexpensive.  You have to look around for the bargains but a little research will go a long way in saving you money.

3.  A helpful and friendly staff.  Everyone that we have run into at the park have been really good at providing solid customer service.  If a fan has a problem or needs some type of medical attention the Diablo staff tends to it right away.  We like the shirts that the staff  wear that say, " How can I help you?" on the back.

The ballpark is a great way to unwind after a long day at work.  Nothing beats a ballgame to get your mind off the worries of life.  Sure this isn't Wrigley Field but we have a great thing happening out at Cohen Stadium that provides a great chance for families to spend some quality time together building memories.

We plan to head out to see the Diablos more this season and hope to see the stands fill up with every game.  Check out the Diablos website to learn more about special promotions and to get the scoop on all of the teams playing in the American Association.
